Peter (John) McSweeney is a Mancunian Actor, Screenwriter and Film Producer currently based in London and LA. He trained as an Actor at EAST 15 Acting School (foundation) and then achieved a 3 years on a scholarship at The Arts Ed School of Acting, London on their BA (Hons) Acting Course.

Upon graduating, instead of embarking on the job hunt, he felt he needed to see more of the world and experience life away from the industry. He worked all over America, Japan, Australia and most of Eastern Europe in a variety of interesting and exciting jobs, meeting a wide range of people.

When he returned he opened a creative events and lifestyle business, taught self development and communication skills and lived with some very interesting, bizarre people. All of whom helped him develop his screen writing skills along with venturing into Stand Up Comedy, and ultimately becoming a more earthy, grounded actor appose to the polished ‘drama school graduate’ he previously was.

He has written screenplays for RADA/Warner Bros and optioned two classical novels which are currently being adapted into a screenplay. He working with Jeremy Piven on an adaptation of Arthur Miller’s ‘The Performance’ co starring Isla Fisher and Michael Shannon. 

He now working full-time as a screenwriter, producer and actor and he has also directed for screen. This particular path has allowed him to develop into a more engaging artist, whereas running his own company has given him a valuable set of business skills.
